If you've experienced problems related to Chinese drywall, have concerns about Chinese drywall or just want to learn more about this toxic and problematic material, here are the details of tonights meeting:

According to the Birmingham News experts say the toxins in the drywall combine with moisture in the air to corrode all types of metal, including the wires in household appliances.

Paula that's my grandson Tristan.  I suspect that will be one very crowded church this evening.

Thanks Valerie.  It seems the most immediate signs relate to the corrosion of metals including wiring.  One family told of how appliances stopped working one by one and the same family moved out of their home over a year ago and are maintaining 2 households (all because of health issues they relate to the Chinese drywall.

Valerie...Chinese Drywall is drywall made in China who have no regulations concerning the construction of the material. Hence it give off a noxious odors and can make a family really sick...we are talking just as bad a really bad mold issue.

I may write a post on it. Will look into that tonight.

Ann many of the homeowners live in Ross Bridge so I am thinking it's going to be a quite successful turnout.

YIKES . . . CDW in your area?  I heard that if you place a silver spoon near where you think there's an issue, and it discolors (rusts) you've got a problem.  The silver alloy conducts the rust or something.  How did the product get into your market??  I know what happened in the gulf states after the hurricanes over the years.

We are (were?) considereing buying a home in Ross Bridge...now I am kind of freaking out about it.  Can anyone tell me which Ross Bridge properties have CDW?  Chalybe?  Abbeyglen?  Spreadout to different properties?

Carla the silver can be anywhere in the home and be affected.

Ginny I do know that Highland Lakes is one community that has the drywall issue.  I have not be able to determine what other communities have been affected.  If you are thinking about buying at Ross Bridge, the developer should be your first point of contact for Chinese drywall concerns.
