If you like water activities, sailboats, jets skis, pontoon boats, canoes, and Kayaks can easliy be rented.  Surfing, parasailing, boogie boarding, boating, banana boat rides, and windsurfing can easily be enjoyed with the availability of the many rental kiosks scattered throughout the area.

Myrtle Beach is home to dozens of family entertainment venues.  Some of these are Family Kingdom Amusement Park, Myrtle Waves Water park, Ripley's Aquarium, Ripley's Believe It or Not, Imax Theater, Children's Museum of South Carolina, Huntington Beach State Park, Brookgreen Gardens, Ghosts and Legends, Magiquest, Wild Water and Race Theme Park, Lazer FX, Build a Bear, Great American Riverboat Tours, Alligator Adventure, Nascar racing, and the Pavilion Nostalgia Park.  Click on Myrtle Beach Entertainment and you can find out more about these great activities.

There are over 110 golf courses available to appease all you golfers.  My favorite is The World Tour, which is made up of 27 holes copied from the most famous holes in the world.  The GPS equipped golf carts are awesome, too.

Two prime attractions, Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing, are made up of shops, restaurants, miniature golf, water features, and entertainment venues.  Click on the links for more information.

Finally, the newest theme park in the United States is scheduled to open in May of 2008.  Located in the west part of Myrtle Beach, The Hard Rock Theme Park is promising to offer a nostalgic look back at great rock bands along with 4 roller coasters, including the Led Zepplin which is sure to satisfy all you thrill seekers.

How Ironic. I am thinking of leaving Va Beach next June and take the intracoastal waterway to South Carolina and spend a couple of weeks with my wife and dog in tow. Might be a bit much for our 24 footer cuddy cabin but it should be nice.
