Can anyone report on the condition of the Indiana Real Estate Commission. Has it totally disappeared from the radar? Am I spoiled? The Kentucky commission is such a well-run small state commission and as a professional, I certainly enjoy having a solid responsive commission monitoring the activities of its licensees. Indiana seems to have cut far more than the fat of governmental waste and stripped the good aspects of a regulatory agency to the bone. Am I mistaken?

It only meets sporadically a few times a year and if you are waiting for a license it could take up to two months (in between sessions) for them to review it. That's not new on Kentucky having a better license commission, Illinois and Ohio are the same way, they have given immediate clear and concise answers on every contact I have had with them. Indiana on the other-hand is questionable at best. I know of numerous people that leave the state for professional regulation, and sometimes when they try to get reciprocity with Indiana they have problems. I guess as a state we just don't want professionals here.
