Today we are enjoying the Airshow out at Richard B. Russell Airport it is located about about 1/2 mile from where we live. They have estimated that over 30,000 people will come out to see the show over today and tomorrow. I have a terrible clold so we didn't get to stay long. The re-enactment of the Midway battle made the house shake about an hour after I started my "get well"nap. I hate to be sick and it pained me to miss the re-enactment. It sounded like an awesome display.
Also this weekend we had the annual "Twice is Nice" children's consignment store. It was held at the Food Lion grocery strip mall store. I met the new owner of that shopping center the other day and he is looking for new tenants for the remaining store front he has available. He asked me to think of other stores that could be located there and I told him I hope he could get a Bikram or hot yoga teacher there in one of the stores, or it could be an ice skating rink. Business Real Estate seems really interesting to me I am going to go to school for my CCIM designation next year that will be a big commitment.
I feel better now so I will be able to host the CaBi show tomorrow at the office, I hope we have a good turn out for that event, we always try to do something once a quarter to get other Realtors together for something fun. The CaBi show is a trunk show that comes to town 2 times per year and showcases the Fall and Spring designer line of clothing. CaBi stands for Carolyn Anderson By Invitation and it is a private party to see the trunk show.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with real estate. However, wearing nice clothes makes you feel better and the togtherness helps to create a bond with fellow realtors. So hopefully after church tomorrow we can all enjoy some fellowship!!!!
