Pictures to Make a Room Look Bigger Part 1 | Tri Cities WA Real Estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Kennewick Richland (and West) Pasco WA Homes For Sale

Potential buyers like to see spacious homes but its hard to show spacious rooms through the lens of a camera. Debra Gould, president of Six Elements Inc and creator of Staging Diva training program has 8 tips to help you as the realtor make every room in your listing accurately portray the size of each room.

1. Remove Area Rugs – These tend to break up the room and make it appear smaller.

2. Use a Wide Angle Camera – A wide angle camera lens, 28 mm or less on a DSLR or the equivalent on a point and shoot, helps accurately display the angles and depth of a room.

3. Get Creative with Furniture – Too much furniture in a room could have a negative impact and make the room appear smaller, if there is more floor visible then the room looks a bit larger.

4. Fill Up an Empty Space – Furnished rooms help potential buyers visualize how they might fit things into different rooms, as well as make a room look bigger.
