Optimism in 2011
It's not just me, I'm finding people all over with an optimistic attitude toward 2011. I can't explain it, but I can't help notice it either. Over the holidays people seemed, to me, to be happier than I've seen in some time. Maybe we are all tired to complaining about the economy and the tough times.
The first week of the new year I've received phone calls about listing real estate property, buying property, loans in process and more. My sisters house in Stillwater Oklahoma that has been sitting for sale for sometime is getting shown even in the dark days of winter.
I've attended several "After Hour" parties for the Canon City, Pueblo and Latino Chamber of Commerce in the last few weeks. These are the kind of mixers where local business people get together and talk about their businessses and the communities involved. On the whole people are optimistic even hopeful for a better year. People are starting new businesses, new schools and I won 2 door prices at these events!
Pictured in this Latino Chamber of Commerce news letter are Kathy Berg, Dena Stevens and Nicki Hart. Kathy and Nicki are from the Sange De Cristo Arts Center.
Friends I've been coaching in blogging and marketing are getting attention and that of course makes them excited. Pam Simmons has taken to blogging like a fish takes to water. And Maria Puttre is getting excited about all the hits her blog is getting. My blog is getting attention as well.
This post isn't to cheer myself up or convince you that 2011 is going to be better. I think the signs are obvious, 2011 is already a better year! Happy New Year!
