Hi Francis, I'm always suspicious of any program which just " pops up " . Ask your tech person or google it. I recently had the same kind of pop=up msg and it was actually the bad guys hoping I would click on the msg ! Be careful ! Best of 2011 to you !
I think if I am not mistaken that is actually a program that freezes your computer and is almost impossible to get off it. I would check with someone who knows or online about the validity of this program.
Bill, Thanks! I love the Google idea! I will do that. Funny how it just pops up, whenever I have a windows update.
Pat, Jeepers! I just got my computer working again! Yikes! Thank you, Pat. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know!
I have never heard of that Frances, but back up is so important. Are you using a cloud back up service or a drive?
Thanks for the reminder to back up my files and programs Frances! Not sure when I'll have time to do that, but I need to make some time! :-) BTW, never heard of PC Optimizer Pro.
Steve, My Tech at Bolton Consulting took care of it for me. Thank goodness! He takes care of my Son's business computers and is really good at all of that stuff.
Donna, That's what I used to say, never had the time. Luckily, the tech saved my hard drive. I did Google the PC Optimizer Pro and didn't see anything bad about it:)
