LAKE COUNTY

Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County during the coming week.

Highway 20

- P G & E of Ukiah has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility maintenance between Mendenhall Avenue and Main Street. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. A shoulder closure will be in effect. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.

- A roadway realignment project from 1.4 miles east of the North Fork Cache Creek Bridge to 1.6 miles west of Walker Ridge Road will continue. Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays. Contractor - Argonaut Constructors of Santa Rosa.

Highway 29

- A shoulder widening project from 2 miles north of Middletown to 0.2 miles north of Bar X Ranch will continue. Work hours are 7 p.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays. Contractor - Ghilotti Construction of Santa Rosa.

- Epidendio Construction of Lower Lake has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit to reconstruct a driveway 0.7 miles south of Konocti Forestry Camp. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

- A signalization project at the junction of Route 29/281 (Kits Corner) will continue. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. A shoulder closure will be in effect. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Contractor - Steiny and Co. Inc. of Vallejo.

- A project to install a right turn pocket at Live Oak Drive will begin Monday, Sept. 17. Work hours are 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., weekdays. A shoulder closure will be in effect. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Contractor - Granite Construction of Ukiah.

Highway 53

- Pavement work from 0.1 miles south of 18th Street to 0.2 miles north of 40th avenue will continue. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weekdays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Contractor - Mercer-Fraser Co. of Eureka.

Highway 281

- A signalization project at the junction of Route 29/281 (Kits Corner) will continue. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. A shoulder closure will be in effect. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Contractor - Steiny and Co. Inc. of Vallejo.
