Hey Gerry, that is a quite beautiful place in Quebec, I did spent some time a bit north of your spot in Mont Tremblant on a whim on summer.
Your photos neve fail to delight me Gerry! Love the ski lift photo and of course moose :~)
Rob,
Thanks. It was a great place indeed but the great company made it even better. :)
Marc,
I do miss Red Lodge as you can imagine but I never got to appreciate the moments spent with family as much as I did during this getaway. You can say that I am closer to family now than in the past few years.
And for the moose, I am glad I have a version I can always carry with me to at least share some moose visions... :) A blog post is not the same without the moose that many like you expect when they come to visit my blog... :)
Patricia,
I was lucky that my parents got to join us on the second day. They were suppose to stay for one day and leave the next morning but they liked it so much that they stayed with us till the end. It was nice to see lots of bonding (brother-brother and bonding over 3 generations) happen during our stay. I am sure we will try and repeat a similar kind of event on an annual basis going forward.
Thank you for your compliments on my photography. I guess there are some things I will never get tired to do and share with those around me (in real life and virtually) and I am very grateful to be able to do so. :)
Cyndee,
It is funny you mentioned Mont Tremblant. We almost decided to go there for downhill skiing (more slopes and higher elevation) but it was our first skiing experience of the winter season and Mont Blanc turned out to be closer and sufficient in addition to being a bit more reasonable for the pocket book. Thank you for coming by and putting a smile on my face with your positive feedback... :)
Gerry, when we went there as I said it was on a whim and we went for 3 nights because we didn't know what to expect and the $$$. So when we got there I had no idea everyone spoke French...the roads signs in French...the radio in French, LOL!!! I knew just enough to get by and when I got a conversation going I must have looked like a deer caught in the headlights because I blanked out. It was a super fun trip not to mention breathtaking beautiful!
Cyndee,
Je suis tres content d'avoir de vos nouvelles. Comment allez-vous? :)
If there is a next time, make sure you take my new cell phone number with you. That way I can at least be of help if you need some translation from French to English or any helpful info and/or tips about the area. :)
Gerry, I'm always happy to hear from you too. Très bien, merci, et vou?
I used to practice with my friend and his Mother who are from France but since I don't see them regularly and practice my French pleasantries it's all lost in my grey matter, LOL! I will certainly keep your offer in mind. I do hope to go back there one day!
And then to mess up the language even more Gerry I would start to speak few words in Spanish so I must have sounded like a total nut :~O
Cyndee,
Je vais très bien aussi! :)
No problema con el español. Hablo español tambien! :)
It's going well Gerry! I really missed the snow in GA and now living in Ohio I've got it. I'm really happy in this little part of town.
I forgot you speak about a gazillion languages, that's some talent you've got there. I have trouble with my plain ol' English most of the times :~)
Gerry, Nothing like time with family. Woo Hoo!! And Yea for the beautiful pictures. As you know I so LOVE seeing your photographs! Keep them coming. Have a wonderful 2011. ...geri
Cyndee,
I am glad to read that you are happy in your new surroundings in Ohio. I am glad that for both of us that the stress of moving is far behind us. :)
Geri,
I am sure there are plenty more photos to come especially when I keep getting praises from the regular visitors to my blog. Thank you and have a wonderful 2011 as well! :)
Beautiful photos as usual Gerry. Glad you and your family had a good time!
Gerry,
Aline is taking after her Uncle. What a great composition in her photo. She does you proud.
Mike in Tucson
Debra,
Thank you. We sure had plenty of good memories to share for years to come. :)
Mike,
She mentioned that she was not good at taking photos early on but she took some great shots and I also fell that she is more talented at taking photos than she thinks. Who knows? Some day she may also catch the shutter bug like her Uncle and will have the urge to stop here and there to capture some beautiful subjects and/or moments. :)
Gerry, Great blog. You are great with the camera my friend.
I hope all is very well with you.
Charles,
Thank you. All is very well here. :)
