Delimmas, delimmas, delimmas...

Ok, so I got all this information going out and I have a contact management system in place.  I am still working on it trying to make it as useful to me as possible but here is the problem.  I get a call and I am not at the office when this call comes in, so I am still using sticky notes, a day planner, actually anything I can get my hands on to write down the contacts info and appt. time so that I can go back to the office at some point and put it in.

What are you all doing to allieviate the paper?  I can't carry the computer with me as it is not a laptop and can not afford one right now with wireless, etc. And since I am in such a remote area most of the time I am not even sure that it would benefit me to have the laptop with me all the time.

I do the same thing and my husband who helps me finds them on my desk and wants to go nuts.  Anyway, a PDA is a great thing to have with you.  I have the PDA cellphone, but am not all that happy with it.  I would rather have 2 separate units.  Many would probably disagree, but that's me.  Palm OS  PDA's have a "notes" feature built in where you can actually just write the note on the screen with the stylus and give it a title.  Then you can go back to it.  Or simply pull up the contact in the PDA and scheule whatever you have to with them.  Then you just sync it with your PC when you get home.

Good Morning Linda-

A PDA is the way to go. I'd recommend a Treo or a Moto Q.

The laptop will come later on - one of these units will go a long way to getting you organized.

Good luck!

I have to agree.... a PDA or TREO is the way to go....   It gives you instant access to phone and email ... and your data base....

I guess until I can afford the TREO paper is the only option for me then.  Thanks for the info though gives me something to research and a goal.

The PDA is a great must have.  I still find that I do write a great deal of notes so I always have a coil bound note book with me at all times to jot things down.

You and I are in the same (paper) boat...I make sure to write info down in my notebook AS SOON as I can get my hands on it, then I toss the scrap paper in the recycling bin.
