50,000 Points - No Longer a Newbie?

I started blogging on Active Rain 63 days ago with 1 goal in mind. I needed an answer to a question that I had been pondering for nearly a year....

What the heck is this "blogging thing" all about?

So I made a commitment to be active on AR for 30 days and then re-evaluate. After 30 days, I did the same thing, a 30 day commitment to see if I could get better. I think I have.

Yesterday, I hit 50,000 points, yet I still feel like a "Newbie."

Tallahassee Real Estate

Because of my involvement with Active Rain:

  • I now author the blog on our local newspaper.
  • I met a customer from Iraq (US Pilot) who listed four properties with my company
  • Learned about SEO and Internet Marketing
  • Found the right company/person to build my new website (Brad Carroll)
  • Encouraged 15 of our associates to Blog on Active Rain
  • Re-invigorated my passion for this business

Thank you everyone on Active Rain. I now am committed to being active here (with no 30-day limit!).

Joe, that is fabulous ! Wow in only 2 months, it took me 8 months to get to 50,000. Keep up the good work, this is a great testimony for new members who think they can't catch up.

Congratulations to you Joe. If you still think of yourself as being a newbie, then you are a newbie who knows what he is doing.

Joe, I would say that you are definitely no longer a newbie. You've learned quite a lot. Congratulations on reaching 50K in such a short period of time.

Congratulations on 50,000 and for finding inspiration in the great site!

Great question James. 100% of my blogs on the other site are consumer focused. I'd say about 2/3rds on AR are focused on the consumer. Still looking for the "right" mix.

Thanks Jon, it is definitely inspirational!

Love your question and look forward to just building my points as well.  I like the idea of blogging elsewhere for exposure.  By the way do you mind if I ask if your a FSU fan?  Probably so.  I lived in FL for 5 years and sorry to say the Gators sold my heart.  Too many good times.

Thanks Karen. I played football at West Point (ARMY) so that is my team. But with four brothers and a wife graduated from FSU, I root for them as well.

Congratulations Joe - The thing I love about AR is that it rewards activity and participation, not just signing up, almost like the real estate business...
