Our lives are made up from a series of choices. The way that we make those choices and respond to things determines our fate. Now, I will not argue that we are all dealt the same hand, but when adversity occurs, we all have a choice in how we respond.
Will you choose to have conflict with your colleague today?
Sometimes I have seen co-workers get upset with others - even in the face of one co-worker trying to help the other. I will not have a conflict with others, and instead choose to serve and encourage others and accept when they do not recognize that I care for them and am trying to help.
Will you try to improve today?
Our journey is a never ending opportunity for improvement. Visit the most successful person's home that you know. I bet that you will find many books in their home.
Will you choose, "Victim" or "Accountable"?
Bad things happen to all of us. When a negative thing occurs, you can choose to have it be someone else's fault (therefore remove any responsibility from you) or you can hold yourself accountable for your situation and make the best choice that you can to improve things. Some times a bad thing will happen to us that truly is someone else's fault. When this occurs, you can choose to focus on things that you can control and accept those that you can not control.
Will you recognize that it is easy to be average?
Think about it. When you were in school, what kids got teased? If your school was like mine, it was the "A" students and the failing students. Those that were in the middle wanted everybody else to be like them. (It is funny that as adults, I have seen both "A" students and students that did not do well in school to appear to create amazing lives - It is never to late to choose success) Do you desire to be average - or EXTRAORDINARY? Either choice is yours :)
Will you choose to prospect today?
I often see real estate agents frustrated with not having enough business. I always advise to remember that we are in the lead generating business - specializing in real estate. If you take 2 - 3 hours EVERYDAY to prospect, you WILL be successful in real estate sales.
I encourage you to understand that your choices impact your outcome and others. I promise to try to control my choices and to choose the ones that serve me and others and to not choose the ones that rule me or harm others.
