Where To Go Sledding Around Highlands Ranch Colorado

As we finally are getting measurable snowfall in the south Denver suburbs, my daughter has already asked me to take her sledding.

Both the kids are praying for a snow day, and I don't know if it will happen yet, but if it does, I guarantee you I will be sledding. highlands ranch sledding

Here are some places in Highlands Ranch & surrounding Denver area where we have enjoyed sledding in the past.  I want to point out that not all of these are on parks, and I don't know if there are official rules about sledding at any of them.  If that is something you are concerned about, you should check it out.  And of course be safe.

East of the Arcadis building on Plaza Drive - diagonally across from the movie theater there is a double decent hill that the kids seem to love.  You will have trouble parking during a work day as it is in the business park, but the weekends are a breeze.

ThunderRidge High School - On the south east side of ThunderRidge HS there is a decent size hill that is loads of fun.

Redstone Park - Now this is probably not one worth driving too, but while we are snowed in or during the storm itself, if you live in the neighborhood and can walk here, this small hill on the west side of the tennis courts will entertain the kids until you can get shoveled out to get to others.

In Littleton - Check out the hill at Ken Caryl & Kipling.  Not in Highlands Ranch, but my kids like it so I drive them over there.  Foothills Park & Rec even has info on their site here.:  Sledding Hill Park

Ruby Hill - Head into Denver to the infamous Ruby Hill off of Santa Fe & Florida. After very big storms in the past the Mayor has even sponsored hot cocoa days.

In the DTC area head to George Wallace Park at Belleview and DTC Blvd. This one can get crowded.

What others do you enjoy?
