What seem to be a local turn around in our housing market in the early part of 2010, came to a grinding halt mid year, with government incentives expiring buyers have raised the cautious flag on moving ahead with purchasing a home.
As to when the checker flag will be out again is up for speculation. Buyers locally have adapted a attitude of uncertainty/lack of confidence. With many buyers leaning to the side of just "waiting it out" instead of buying. With sales declining from mid year 2010 --buyers are saying that prices will be declining some more SO WHY BUY NOW?
Real estate agents can ring the bell over & over about having good choices within the housing inventory, to great interest rates, buyers are slow to jump into pool. Potential buyers that are in the higher price point are content to wait the market out, repairing credit, paying off debt, and getting a savings re-established. Buyers have been shocked to find out even with a great credit score having a nice downpayment getting a loan is still no cake walk.
