When we lived in Virginal, a 4-6" snow was just a "dusting". We got up a half hour early, shoveled out and plotted ahead as usual.
Well, we do things different down here! Our Tennessee farm is below the "Cotton Line", which is the northernmost point where cotton can be grown (apparently it takes longer to grow to maturity and harvest than the growing season allows north of Franklin, TN).
When I was growing up and we would drive to my grandparents farm, I used to pretend the white cotton fields were actually snow covered fields :), That's how rare a REAL snow covering is. down here!
You can imagine our delight to wake up to this today! May not look like much to our northern friends and neighbors, but it is a full on snow "emergency" to us! Isn't it beautiful?
