Work full time on the 'job' - part time on the fortune

Jim Rohn is one of my favorite motivational speakers.  His quote, "I have found a way to work full time on my job, while working part time on my fortune" has always stuck with me.

As real estate professionals, we can call it a "business" if we want, but if we have to show up every day to feed the fire, it's still a JOB.

And that IS OK!  I am glad for my job!  I just won't lose site that I need to create a 'business' which feeds itself - a self perpetuating cash flow machine!

For me, my secondary project is a great company called Gano Excel - with my branded domain/link at http://NoCoffeeFilter.com

The point of this post is not to advertise the link or sell the product - check it out if you want.  The point to this post is to see how many of YOU out there have those secondary income sources?!

So are you a FULL time real estate professional and a PART time something else?   I'd love to hear the stories!

Feel free to post links and share your journey - I'd love to hear about it!

I don't think I could do another job. I do appraisals and sell real estate. That is enough.

Time - that is what I am after!  I love my work - I just realize that it isn't really a "business" but more of a professional practice.  Maybe with selling real estate - you get your broker's license and have some agents selling too - and now you have a business which produces more than your direct time input.

That is what I am after - something which can exceed the equation of "My time working = $ earned"
