There's a skating rink in St George Utah, it's call Dixie Igloo Ice Centre.

11/21/14 UPDATE~The Dixie Igloo Ice Centre is no longer operating in St George

They opened last year at a different location downtown and have expanded this year to the Dixie Sun Bowl arena. My family enjoyed going several times last year and went for the first time this year last night. You can check out their calendar, pricing, directions and hours at Dixie Igloo Centre.

They now have a fire barrel to stand around and keep warm, serve hot chocolate, candy and have gloves and socks available for purchase in case you forgot yours.

Dixie Igloo Ice Centre

They offer hockey leagues, learn to skate lessons, figure skating, birthday parties and free skate just to mention a few of the events available. Be sure to bring the family, it's great fun and certainly something different to do here in St George!

Erika, That looks like so much fun. I used to go ice skating in an indoor “ice palace” when I was a young girl. I have not been on ice skates in years … and yet I think I could still skate … you know, like riding a bike … once you learn … it stays with us.
