Mom, You Need The Big Bag of Catfood!

Mom and Dad have not owned a pet for years, but they enjoy watching the neighborhood cats that scamper around their yard occasionally.  A few weeks ago, one little kitty peeked in the window while they were having lunch.....my mom was afraid she was hungry and decided she would pick up some catfood the next time she shopped for groceries so she could put some food and water on the patio for her.  I suggested if she was going to start that she might want to get the big bag of food........

Grey Kitty

It didn't take long for word to get out....

They are still a little shy.....

But some are getting a little more at ease with me.....

That is just precious!!! She has a herd of kitties that come and visit her daily.. Cats are so funny.. I remember my moms cat choose us we didn't choose her, once she was a kitten we had someone knock on our door one night, a door to door sales person the door was wide open and in waltz's this cute little kitten, she sees all of us looking at her and she quickly scurries out.. The next morning I am leaving for work she comes out from underneath my parents van, lets me pet her and I leave her a bowl of milk on the side of the house... I come home from work and she is all relaxed in my dads lap and he was like, Stacey looks like we have been abopted...lol...

That black kitty reminds me of a beloved cat I had by the name of Sabu.  Sabu lived to be 19 years old, and was the smartest cat I ever knew.  I also had a cat that looked like blue eyed one that has some siamese in it.  Whe named her "Cleocatra" because of the lines coming from the corner of her eyes.

Ann, I’m laughing … this is so adorable. I love to hear that people are feeding the animals! Now that Mom has started … there is no stopping it.

Hi Ann.  Does your mom feed stray Realtors as well?  I could arrange to stop by her house for pie on my next trip!

Best wishes for a happy and productive 2011
