Sit On The Other Side Of Your Desk...At Least Once A Week For Perspective...

Go ahead..Get up from that desk with three stacks of papers and wander around to one of the comfy chairs you use to greet and quiz buyers and sellers in.  Feel uncomfortable? It shouldn't .  It's part of your office. Sit like it was the first time you had been in the office, look northern maine real estate census informationaround at this guy's awards, family and hobby pictures, community involvement evidence..and look thru new eyes.  Don't use your own eyes...make them the next buyer from New Jersey or the elderly lady who is going to trust you with the listing on her home of 40 years and five kids.  See some need for changes from this perspective? Was the place remodeled eights years ago and ready for an update plus removal of boxes, piles or just desk clutter.  While you update, think what the folks that sit in these chairs across from your desk would like to see.  What they take in as they glance around the room while you are out retrieving paperwork for them or making a copy of a map for them to study.  Your office gives an impression, is breathing and advertising for your.  What signals is it sending? The impression of you overall is not just your bubbling personality....it's a series of many little things. And on your website site, do you have quick facts about what the US Census folks  say about the area?  The visitors to the site don't just want real estate information. For Maine, this spot helps.  This is where the buyer learns little facts like there are 41.3 people per square mile in Maine and in Aroostook County, 11.1 people!

What a great idea - and you are right - what we find comforting may not be to someone else - great way to keep yourself in check
