I was uploading my recent pictures of 20 homes I had inspected for a possible investor when
the machine's video went crazy. I was destroyed. Being a Mac there is a store/repair center real
close to my home and they replaced the entire mother (system) board bit it was 4 days which is
a great turn around time, but in the meantime I had my wife's pc to us.
Our internet default connection via HP/Compact was AOL. My entire experience was terrible!
Pop-up after pop-up and the pop-us were paid advertisements from AOL and not from some rouge
bad guys. I didn't need a pop-up stopper (additional expense)...I needed a different provider.
They (AOL) also has a keyword tool which takes articles and even craigslist postings and puts
hyperlinks to ads! Using the PC was a horrible mistake.
I suggest if you are having this experience that you never go to AOL. Also if you go to google.com
from AOL after one search it throws you automatically back to AOL! What a pain and nasty relationship
that AOL has continued.
Next time you consider a computer consider purchasing a MAC and taking their newest option of $99
for a year of in store support on a one to one basis. It is only for new purchases. I am computer savvy
but I will not miss that option. Besides where else today can you go and find people to offer support
in a reasonable amount of time. You can even schedule on the internet a time convenient to you.
I will not go back to a PC.
