11 Comments on Honoring the Families and Victims of the Tucson AZ Tragedy
Most of the country is little towns just like Tucson. We are all neighbors and feel their sorrow.
It's so sad, Anna. My heart breaks for the family of the little girl. My husband and I were watching a news story this morning about one of the injured women. She was the one who took the little girl to the rally with her. I can't imagine the amount of guilt she must feel for it. It's so senseless. I was very happy to hear that the Westboro Church decided NOT to pickett the funeral. That is so NOT the place to be picketting.
The events of last Saturday are heartbreaking, but the reactive press is disturbing.
I pray that calm heads prevail and that the survivors recover, both physically and mentally.
Gary De Pury, SFR
That is so true Steve, so true.
Heather - me too. I don't know how one gets through that - and the poor lady that she was with - ahhh my heart goes out to her. As far as those crazy church people - the legilature passed emergncy law keeping thime at least 300 feet away.
Gary - yes they need to stop and finally learn from their mistakes. Keep on praying....they all need us.
Thanks for posting about this tragic story. Our thoughts are with the families and community.
I am praying for our entire country. It's tragic for a political spin to be put on it.
Anna--I was surprised that something this tragic could happen in a community as wonderful as Tucson. If it can happen there, it can happen in anywhere. So senseless. I hope the prayer service can begin the healing process.
Anna - As I've said before my heart goes out to all those who have lost or injured family members. I also am deeply disturb by some of the commentary I'm hearing on news media ... can or will we ever learn?
Thank you for posting this story.. This was such a tragic event that took place and my heart does go out to those in the community and that where affected by this horrific event.
Stacia - they need us all...
Tammy - agreed
Teri - I'm sure it will take awhile for those close to the situation. And it can happen anywhere ...
Jack - doubtful that they'll learn or change their ways.
Stacy - at least they have the countries support. It was quite an amazing memorial last night. I think it was a good thing for the community and the state.
Despite our differences and the aggressive rhetoric used by many prior to this sensless act of violence, the healing process may bring us closer together as a country. It is unfortunate that innocent people have to pave the road for us. Let their deaths and the pain felt by their families not be in vain. Thanks, Anna.
