They are getting some hype about the price promotion but think about this --- could you get more than 20,000 off a current builders market home and not have to wait and go through the building process? I believe in the same price range you could! What do some other people think about a promotion like this?

10 Comments on Deal of The Century?

Several builders in my area are discounting spec homes $10-$15 thousand. The promotion seems to have worked for this builder though. They have you blogging about it.

James- The same builder offered the deal here as well. It involved existing new homes as well as homes to be built. The three day event created traffic. I had buyers that did look. They were not impressed and felt that once KV exposes how low they will go to move inventory......the three day event pricing will always be on the table. I kind of feel the same way. Same dirt, same lot, same builder, same slow market today as over the weekend. It got attention but I don't believe for a minute that the pricing is no longer there.

Roy the only reason I am blogging about it is some of the other builders are accepting offers at 90% of list.

John --The builders here have been throwing a lot at the buyers on their new homes. It is bad to see siding coming off homes in new subdivisions and rafter lines showing through the roofing.

We have seen this in the Hudson Valley as well. Builders are very negotiable. I have seen house of the week, deal of the week etc. IT is tough for everyone inthe market right now. Inspiute of all of this the buyers are still hiding.

In my area instead o promoting what is available in programs for new home buyers the media is talking gloom and doom.

to all experts, i guess khov knew what they were doing. The CEO had a goal to write 1000 contracts thru the 3 day event. Guess what? The sales force wrote over 2100!! As a sales person for this company, we kicked ass!!

I am glad that you wrote contracts on 2100 new homes. That may be the quick influx of cash your company needs. One thing to look at though is how much future business did you pay to happen on that weekend?

Sounds like a cheap marketing ploy by the builder...it may grab some buyers but would leave a bad taste in the mouth of those who bought the week before, or after!

Christopher the problem is not to many people were buying the week before!
