dogGot Dogs?  Don't Forget to Renew Your Warren County Dog License!

Fido might love to run naked and unencumbered by a collar and tags, but the Warren County dog catcher won't look so favorably upon your favorite canine's streaking habits!

It's that time of year again, time to renew your pet's annual dog license!  You've got until January 31, 2011 to get your new tags for Marmaduke, Snoopy and Muttley.

Regular tags cost $15, bone shaped tags cost $20 with $5 of that contributed to the Humane Association of Warren County's spay/neuter program.  Annual kennel licenses are $75 and cover five tags, but each additional dog is only $1 to keep them all legal!

Kennel tags are ONLY available at the Warren County Auditor's office (406 Justice Drive, Lebanon OH 45036).  You can order individual dog licenses online at the Warren County Auditor's dog licensing site, at the auditor's office also, or at various other locations. Click HERE to go to the official list of other locations to find the nearest location to you.

By the way, fines are basically the same as the license fees, so you're paying double if your pet gets caught without a dog license, and Spot is just going to hand you the bill!

For more information, call the Warren County auditor's licensing number 513.695.1240.

Bark at you later!

I've already done mine. In my area, a neutered dog is $25 and unneurtered is $50. The tag can help return your pet especially if we fill in the section allowing them to give out contact info. to the person that finds your dog.

Melissa, It would be something easy to forget too!

Anita, Glad to help out!

Janice, Love the different pricing for neutered vs. unneutered.  Makes a tremendous amount of sense.

No doggies here in this Indy household...good story though.  Kelly (now 23) would literally fall down tripping over herself to get away from the house she was trick or treating at if she heard a dog bark...was SO afraid.  She was about 5 at the time.  Solution: we got Teddy, the cutest Sheltie ever.  That dog brough so much joy...when Kelly's dad and I divorced, the dog was included in the joint custody...he went with the kids to whichever home they were at.  During her senior year in high school....Teddy went to dog heaven.  But, guess who now loves dogs?

Shelties are some of the best dogs ever!  We had one named Snoopy -- he was a joy!  Oh, did I digress too?  Thanks, Cindy, it's all your fault!

Great reminder!  So easy to forget this one!

I wonder if my tenant has to renew the "chicken license" for her two chickens.

Cindy and Cinnamon, Of all the clip art available for dogs, had to go with Shelties.  We used to breed and Liz showed Shelties (even hit top 40 ranking in the nation with one!).  Our last one passed away not too long after we were "found" by the cats.  Palmer had gotten to 15, which seemed to be the obstacle age none of our Shelties ever got past.

Paul, Pretty great week, especially for January.  Just finished our third prelist appointment in the last six days, and showing one of our own listings tomorrow evening :)  Hope your week has been going well also!

Michelle, We know they don't all read the paper, and easy to forget.

Roger, hmmm, how much is that chicken license?? :)
