What one word would you use to describe your local real estate market today?

Ok, the title is the whole blog post, almost. I put this question up this morning on my facebook profile, and thought that ActiveRain would be an even better place to ask. So have a stab at it.

What one word would best describe your local real estate market today?

Let's call it the one word market update. I could be on to something!

I would say the one word that describes my market is "steady". It seems to be that way at the moment, but things are apt to change. Does that work? Have a great day.

Marin County, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, is still cranking along. Prices strong...sales volumn down.

Our local real estate market is "Unbelievable". That's the best way to describe it.

One word is hard for many of us. Me included. For Oakland County MI, my word will be Opportunity.

Hi Maureen, I commented on your facebook question too. One word, " inventory", if you need a explanation it is TOO MUCH.

Normal.

New agents in Eastern CT would call this market slow but 2001 - 2005 were wild. This is normal.

Unbelievable....I know Jay beat me to it but that was how we always answer that question. It can be Unbelievably good or bad depending but it's always an honest answer.

Interesting - as in Confucius' saying"May you live in Interesting Times."

Our NE Ohio Market is Buyerlicious. That's a word right?

I am pretty sure that is a word in Cleveland, 3c.

Monika and Jay, I have a broker who uses that exact same response too.

I would not call my market wonderberry. Or maybe I would. Never had a wonderberry.

There are agents in my office that would simply reply, "horrible"

However, I prefer to use the other side of the coin and say "opportunistic".

As a one-year-old agent trying to survive, I call it "challenging"

My wife would call it "hell".

Decent!

When someone asks me "hows business?" my answer is always the same...FANTASTIC!! I've been an agent for going on 16 years and my worst day in real estate is always better than any day of the 13 years I spent working in tool and die.

In one word, I would have to say "Crazy" to describe the market here in MI.

I love Carol Cohen's word! LOL I'm also jealous of her word. I think we're "perplexing" . We have awesome deals and great rates and .... gridlock.
