Cool!!  Any word on the insurance and property tax issues?

Yes there is some relief that is coming, Legislators are trying to pass a new Super Homestead exemption law on January 29th, That will help home owners that currently have homesteaded property and are looking to move here in the state of Florida. However not much relief for investors. There is a special meeting on October 10th at Gulf Coast Community College with the local leaders and state Representatives and they will be explaining the new law to the public, but I think it will turn into a "what are you going to do for us" type discussion. There is plenty of work that still needs to be done to lower the taxes. Insurance is always going to be higher here because of where we are located and Hurricanes, that is the nature of the beast. No one likes it but it is going to take a lot more to change that.
