I feel like I am just getting my feet wet here on Active Rain. I was not expecting the meme tag just yet. Joanne Hanson of Summit County hit me up last week.
Here goes-
I read a computer pretty much all the time now so I am choosing the "Let me tell you about me" route.
My life revolves around Faith, Family and then everything else. In that order. I have been given an incredible wife Rachel, who is everything that I am not. We are a great compliment to one another. I am a visionary and she is a realist so while I am planning for our next adventure or endeavor, she is wisely telling me no. (this is a good thing)
We have a daughter Sierra named after the western range and a friend of ours.
We have a Son Cedar, named after Psalms 92:12-15. They are the lights of my life.
I have had the opportunity to have a few adventures in life so far. Here is a random list of a few interesting things about me.
- I have visited most of the central American countries and South Africa, most of eastern Eroupe and 46 of the 50 states.
- I once traveled for 2 weeks in the Bahamas on a private yacht eating fish I caught and scuba diving twice a day.
- I lived in a tent for 7 months working as a raft guide for tips.
- There are 86 "" rivers in North Carolina, I have boated 62 of them.
- I have tranquilized an elk while hanging from the side of a helicopter.
- I once rode a donkey from the airport in San Pedro Sula Honduras to a remote village. I did this without knowing any Spanish, and the guy with the donkey did not know English.
- I am a fixed wing pilot.
- I am bored to tears watching organized sports.
- I like to bow-hunt, for food. (This is also known as being a vegetarian)
- If my wife and family would go with me, I would live in a yurt...Not kidding.
I know and have learned that RELATIONSHIPis the most important and valuable concept that anyone can grasp. If you don't believe me decide what is important to you, if it is something that will last it will be grounded in a relationship. Our business, the real estate industry for example, is nothing without establishing firm relationships.
I am the eternal optimist, to a fault. I love to see what "could" be.
If I could be more disciplined I would read my Bible more and run a lot more.
