Do you provide a home warranty for your sellers or buyers?

A home warranty can be a very good thing to have. It seems like there is always something breaking down at the most inconvenient times!

Your electricity, plumbing, sump pump, anything can go wrong!

A home warranty does not cover everything; you will have to refer to the specific warranty by each company to see what it does cover. On the company and the warranty we use, there is a charge of $60 for each trade call.

Still, $60 is not much to pay for these services...most service companies will charge you more than that just to walk in your door!

As a courtesy, The Brenda Doll Team offers its sellers a home warranty with the listing contract. Peace of mind is not an option for our clients.

The buyers that I have worked with have been surveyed by me regarding their home warranty and whether it was useful.  9 out of 10 clients said they were a waste of money.

Timothy - Old Republic - they were giving us a deal on HVAC included but they stopped doing that.

Lori - when we had the HVAC coverage one of our sellers got a brand new heating/cooling system from this warranty saving them $13,000. It's about like those extended warranties you buy from the store - sometimes they're worth it, sometimes not, but when they are, you're glad you have them.

We do offer them to our sellers and our buyers.  They are costly around $400 a year.
