Motivational Power Quote

Life is About How We Look at Things

"I can tell you about a sawmill man

with whom I sat with one night while every dollar he owned

was going up in smoke before his eyes.

He was very quiet.

I tried to be sympathetic."

"I'm imagining how the new mill will look," he said.

Clarence Budington Kelland, from the American Magazine

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Life is about how we look at things

Good things happen to us and some things will happen that we would like to forget about. No matter happen to us, its how we look at the situation will determine what we do.

When we look at a situation that we find ourselves in and look for the opportunities we will find opportunity. If we look at the situation and see there no way to resolve it, you're right.

The way you look at things will determine what you see. Based on what you see will determine how you respond to the situation and what actions you'll take.

Life is about how we look at things and how we look at things is through our attitude. When we look at things in our lives through a positive attitude we tend to see the opportunities and possibilities. With a negative attitude we end up seeing the dark side and will act accordingly.

Nice post. How we look at things determines so much in our lives and whether or not we will be successful or not.

Wholeheartedly agree Lou. Certainly something to strive for and apprecitate. Not as easy as it sounds sometimes but there is always another day.

This is a good reminder that it is not what happens to us but how we view and react to them. Thanks, Lou.

Lou - Just imagine for a moment if the burned sawmill in your example was our real estate market. Now imagine what the real estate market could be if we all applied the same vision and used our imagination more. Thank you for another gem. Emily
