How Many People Can I Impact This Week By Being Nice?
You may ask, are you not normally a nice person? Yes, I believe that I am; however, I know that I sometimes get busy and stressed with making my own day work, and may not take the time to listen and see what is going on with everyone else that I meet.
How much extra time does it take to smile and thank the person that hands me my morning coffee at McDonald's? What would happen if I took an extra minute or more with everyone I meet, to let them know they are doing a good job, pay a compliment, ask how they are - just let them know that I care about them.
How hard would this be? How much would it take out of my day? Not much!
My goal this week is to slow down, stop and let people know that I care!
I purchased a collection of small little items: note cards, a little joke book, a calorie counter for a friend who just started a diet, a small box of dark chocolates for my sweet toothed friend, a couple of inspirational books and a good novel...just a few small gifts to pass around randomly for no reason. All these found on the bargain table so no big financial investment.
I plan to have these handy and give them to people during the next week. I want them to know I am thinking of them and that I am glad to see them.
Time...always time...is the hardest thing to give. My goal this week is slow down a little and be extra nice and caring to all I meet.
