Colorado is Up To It's Neck in Hot Water!

For anybody who enjoys soaking in hot water Colorado has a lot to offer. Below is a list of Hot Springs around the state. Some are membership only facilities and some are more family oriented than others. Several offer hotel accommodations as well. Always a favorites Glenwood Springs and Mt. Princeton. Other local favorites around Canon City are "Canon City Hot Springs"and "Desert Reef", not listed. So the next time you want to go somewhere and chill out think about the hot water in Colorado!

My favorite place is in Glenwood, its the Vapor Cave. After a night soaking in the hot springs, I love going to the Vapor Caves and breathing the hot steamy air.

Getting a massage is not too bad either!

Wow! This is new information. I have lived in Colorado for 33 years, am a student of its history, hiker, and camper. I would have estimated about 5 warm springs in the state from what I have read and heard. I am flabbergasted. Thanks for the new info.

I have to say...You missed Pagosa Hot Springs. I know it's a little commercialized, but so are some of the others listed here. I guess I am a little partial since I live in Pagosa! Good Blog!

Can anyone tell me if Geyser Warm springs is actually a geyser? How big, what time of year, and how often? Is it publically accessible?

Also, I don't know my way around CO [yet!] Which of the springs in the southwest part of the state do you recommend? My kidergarten age son and I would love to go for a hike and "happen" upon one (well, one of us would know about it) that we could take a dip in, dressed or not.
