IS IT OVER YET?

Everyday when I check my email, I see headlines for cnnmoney.com.  There are three headlines and at least one of them has something to do with the housing industry.  Today I got the pleasure of reading a story about a couple from Penn.  who got a "Toxic Mortgage."  Everything worked out for them in the end, but it seems they were a victim of the American Home Mortgage BK.  I feel bad for people like these. I can offer to sell their home before they go into foreclosure but what do they see?  Another person trying to make a buck off of them.  Somedays I just feel hopeless in this mess we have gotten ourselves into.  It was like a roller coaster going up, up and up.  We all knew that it had to come down, we just weren't sure when it would happen.  I am sure that everyone out there is asking the same question I am, is it over yet?   When things go wrong, people want someone or something to blame for it going wrong.  When I tell people it is a buyers market and they can get an incredible deal on a home, they look at me as if I am trying to pull a fast one on them.  "Maybe so, but when I go to sell my home I will get less than what it is worth!"  How many times have we all heard that response?  I guess this all plays right back into our most important tool in real estate....EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE!!!  I hope that everything turns around for the better and the market balances out.  While a market like 2005 made a lot of people money, I think we would all agree that a more stable market would be best for all of us.  Enjoy your day.

Rian, I am glad to know that there are more people out there that think like I do. It is much better to have a stable growth than go through a bubble that might burst.

I agree with you and hope this mess ends soon.  It is just something I didn't think would get as bad as it has.  But with all things, this too shall pass and we will be at a normal market.  I just hope it is soon!!!

Rian-  It will pass and we will survive.  I hear that many agents will decide to leave Real Estate because of it.  Stick it out, you are very smart and you will prevail.  Keep a positive attitude!
