Are you tuning into Rain Radio? Bob Stewart has started a weekly internet radio show that features great content about ActiveRain and brings some great guest speakers "to the mic". We started off with Todd Clark and have moved on to others like Brad Andersohn, Ben Kinney, and Jay Thompson. What you didn't know about this show! Well it's not too late. If you cannot tune into these shows live, you can always download them afterward. They are being hosted on a website called blogtalkradio.com and each of the shows are available in mp3 download afterward. (PS - the Todd Clark interview was the first episode and is the only one not available for download)

So there are a few ways to get the podcast downloaded.
One way is direct on the blogtalkradio website. If you go to the Rain Radio page at www.blogtalkradio.com/activebob you will see the episodes listed with a download button under each one

The other way to download would be to see the episodes listed in your RSS reader. Below you see my favorite which is google reader and the RSS feed displayed. (the RSS feed URL is www.blogtalkradio.com/activebob.rss) When I open one of the posts, there is a mp3 link that if I right click it, I can "save target" and get the mp3 file. I like this method best. I love RSS feeds because often it helps you get to the meat of the information and not be distracted by all of the page ads flashing all about you. You also see a nice NEAT list of all the posts and the ones you haven't "read" are in bold which helps make them stand out. This is a great way to not miss anything. If you want more information about USING RSS feeds see my article "Are You Information Hungry - RSS Feeds Are For You"

I really have enjoyed all of the Rain Radio shows and having the ability to download them and listen to them on my smartphone as a podcast later is a great benefit. I hope that if you missed them live you will check them out too! I believe they are being syndicated also to iTunes, but having a blackberry, the above method is what I'm using.

I think I attended the one with Ben Kinney, but would love to hear the others. That is great that you can download to listen to them when you want. Do you get to see the chat log that comes with the show? A lot of people sign in as a "guest" and won't comment. Not me. To me that's a way you can network with others and show that you're truly interested in what they have to say.

I started Google Reader last month. Admittedly I don't use it a lot. Some of the feeds seem cluttered with unrelated posts, so there must be something about it I'm not doing right.

Craig,

Great news except major bummer that the Todd Clark one is the only one not available... it was the one I was going to download.  I just went to Raincamp with Bob & Ben.  Excellent.

Great alternative for folks to check out the experts here, since Raincamps are not everyday.

All the best, Michelle

Just listened to Friday's show while reading and commenting. The next step I'd like to see the AR Team take is to have recorded webinars from ARU.

Have you written a blog about RSS yet? That's something I haven't figured out. I'll go back and download the interviews. Thanks.

Eric - did you see the article I wrote about using RSS for following others? That is a great tool to have under your belt! The URL is in the article above. I plan to write more articles about it in the future.

Craig - I have been using BlogTalkRadio for a few months now and have had a lot of fun with it.  It seems like a great platform.  Once you get enough episodes archived as a Featured Show, it starts to go directly to iTunes as well.  I use my show to discuss money, debt, mortgage, real estate, and the economy.  It has been great to learn to host my own show.  I highly recommend real estate professionals use this tool to become the expert in their area.

Thanks for sharing.  I will start tuning in.

I've never heard of blogtalkradio but now I'll have to check it out. Don't think I'd be interesting enough for a show of my own (ever!) but I sure will check out Bob's. Thanks for this tip! :)

Bookmarked and tuning in soon.  I would be stumbling through life, never hearing about great things like this if it wasn't for AR.  Thanks for the great info.
