Very soon a unique event will take place in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, January 29, 2011. The annual invasion of pirates called Gasparilla. These invaders arrive amidst a flotilla of boats and proceed to City Hall to capture the mayor who surrenders the city to these vandals.
Then begins a parade with music, floats, bead tossing, and much more. The celebrating goes on into the night. A bit like our own version of a "day of Mardi Gras", Tampa-style!
If you would like to learn more about this great event and perhaps even attend some of its activities, you can visit their offical site for more detailed information. If you can, I strongly urge you to see this celebration at least once in your life!

Just one of the things that makes Central Florida a special place for all that visit here or call it their home!
