Many people have their ideas of what winter must look like here in Maine. Many Mainers watched in amazement as snow in the southern states brought everything to a stand still, and understandably so. They simply are not accustomed to the white stuff and don't have the equipment to deal with it.
Here in Maine, people take it all in stride. Actually this year, much like last, I think the states just below us have gotten much more snow than we have.
Life toodles on in Maine no matter how much snow piles up. The plow keep the main roads clear, the children bundle up and outdoor activities continue no matter how much snow falls. Snow removal, sledding, and skiing provide plenty of exercise.
