When we work with Buyers, we're often asked, why are they selling? There are many reasons why Sellers are Selling Their Homes. First, we usually don't have insider information such as why a seller is selling. In our area, there could be anywhere from 15,000 to 20,000 homes available for sale at any given moment. A listing agent will protect their clients and not disclose why a seller is selling unless it is helpful to the seller to disclose that information and the seller gives their approval.
There are many Reasons Why a Seller is Selling their Home. Once of those Reasons may be due to a Job Transfer. The Triangle Area has a lot of people who transfer here from other states and other countries. It is one of the fasting growing areas and one of the best areas in which to live.
However, believe it or not, there are occasions people move away for a job transfer. Some of the reasons may be:
•1. Opportunity to Move up the Ladder
•2. Company merged or was bought out by another company.
•3. Requested a move so they can be closer to family.
Job Transfers happen all the time in our area. We do see some who commute for a long time to avoid transferring from our area. Still, there are more people transferring in than out of the Triangle.
By the way, purchasing a home owned by a relocation company can be a good situation for a buyer. Most relocation companies make inspections and repairs prior to listing the home for sale. Many times, sellers are encouraged to sell the home quickly and given a bonus if they do. Relocation companies often list for a good price to induce a quick sell.
