2010 was good to Allen Texas real estate. Although the there were 58 less homes sold in 2010 compared to 2009 the average sales price was up $10,000 to $245,000 in 2010 compared to $235,000 in 2009.
The other promising sign from 2010 numbers is the days on market decreased 11 days! In 2009 it took an average of 87 days to sell a home and in 2010 it took just 76 days!
The first time home buyer tax credit I am sure helped with the 2010 improvement, but we have to give credit to what Allen is doing to attract not only people wanting to buy there but also attracting companies and stores to open up shop.
