Loan Modification? Are You A Chase Customer? Here Are Some Tips!
Recently I have had the opportunity to speak with a number of people that currently have Chase as their home loan lender. Many of these homeowners originally worked with Washington Mutual and EMC Mortgage to finance the purchase of their current homes. Many of these homeowners are very nervous about even trying to do a loan modification, mostly because they don't know what to do and they have never done one before. Many do not want to call into a call center and work with an anonymous voice on the other end of the line. Many are worried because they have applied for a loan modification and they are frustrated with the process. Many are losing sleep at night because of the loan modification horror stories they have heard.
If you are a Chase customer and would like to do a loan modification or see if you are eligible, here are some tips:
Seek out the Chase Homeownership center near you, make an appointment and go! The advantage to this approach is you have an opportunity to sit face to face with a Chase Loan Advisor and you can get some immediate feedback and advice!

Make sure to bring this information with you:
• Completed Request for Mortgage Assistance Form
• Completed 4506-T
• Bank statements for the past two months
• Your two most recent pay stubs (if you're self employed/independent contractor, bring your most recent profit/loss statement)
Mark your calendar and make the trip to the Chase Home Owner Assistance Event near you!

Recently, the Home Owner Assistance Events have been very popular, so make sure to arrive early, bring a folding chair, some water, wear comfortable shoes, wear enough layers to keep you warm and don't forget your patience!
If you don't like crowds or standing in line, seek out the Homeownership Center nearest you and make an appointment.
Please don't let your fear or a feeling of embarrassment keep you from at least trying. Please remember, it is the unknown we fear the most!
