200,000 Members And Growing - Who'da Thought?

I saw it once and smiled, then, when I came to check on the latest activity here in the rain, there, emblazoned on the deepest banner I've ever seen on ActiveRain was the incredible number 200,000, made up of the faces that brought us all here.

I can't help but feel a little like a very proud, very old mother whose child has done something extraordinary.  Here, almost from the start, when the membership count was not even 10,000, it's astounding to think of the roads this place has traveled to get to these exalted heights.  We've all been taken on the ride of our lives, those of us who have stuck it out through the growing pains along the way.  Newbies climb aboard this express train and never look back as they acquire points and knowledge and friends from far and near.

I'm proud to be a member of this club and I look forward to the day itcelebrates 400,000 members.  So let's raise a glass to the clever minds that conjured up a kingdom in which points were the currency and growth, on a personal and business level were the inevitable byproduct.

Congratulations ActiveRain!  And congratulations to all the fertile minds who propel it to a place where no man has gone before.
