This is my first blog in this group.  I gotta check out the groups on a regular basis as I am seeing new ones today.  Here is my latest befores and afters.

She was a grandmother looking to move out of her home to live with her child and in-law to help out and take care of her grandchild.  We had to box up a whole PODS worth of stuff.  Here's a sampling of the transformation.

It looks like all I've done is clean the office.... You can't tell but there was a huge rolltop secretary against the far wall (you can see the corner of it from one of the window pane) and I brought in a upholstered chair that was in the family room.

She hasn't even put it up on the market yet but will keep you updated once it goes on.  The slow market is kinda hurting my stats but what I know for sure is that staging definitely helps!

Great Job!  I agree with you.  We don't put listings on the market unless they have been staged by a professional.  Maybe your statistics are off a little but compare it to a home that has not been staged and your credibility will soar.

Cheers!

Marcyne - it was great that you were able to stage before she put it on the market.  Now they will have some nice pictures to show!

Marcyne,

You've done a beautiful job taking away the clutter and leaving in just the right amount of warmth. Hopefully this home will be snapped up when it goes on the market! Nice job.

The LR looks awesome and I am sure that she will enjoy the home the way it is now until it sells. She is doing a kind thing and because you helped her so much to alleviate her stress, she has been rewarded.

You've done a great job removing clutter. You made it look brighter without painting the walls! Well done.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the complements, I can't wait to check out the rest of the blogs posted out in this group.  I love looking at before and afters as well so let's keep on posting.

Rob, good for you - I have the utmost respect for realtors who insist that their listings be marketed properly before the house gets listed.  I can't understand the mindset of realtors and homeowners thinking that their house will eventually sell because "it's not THAT bad."

In this sluggish market, and in what consumers are demanding and expecting in todays real estate market, which is a professionally staged home, you can't sit idly and wish upon a star.

Kathy, that's exciting, thanks!
