9 Comments on How to Get the Most Out of an Outdoor Pool - Put It Indoors...
We take a drive down to Thermopolis every now and then to enjoy the hot pools, even the one's that are outside! I remember getting snowed in one weekend during Super Bowl at the Super 8 Hotel, what a great time!
Brenda--What great swimming pools. I used to love to swim---now that the kids are grown, I do not do much of that anymore. These picture make me want to start up again. I the people in Laramie can do it, I can too!
Wanda, Wow, does that bring back the memories. I haven't been to Thermopolis since I was a teen. Do they still have the "Screamee Meemee?" (The big slide, probably not used much in the winter!) Thanks for the memory!
Hi Pat, They are nice pools, and the addition of the lap pool gives us a little something for everybody. I suppose I should mention that the pictures are old and the shivering child is all grown up now!
Brenda - The last time I was up your way it was a bit cold to swim outside however the indoor pools would solve that problem. Swim off the boat in the San Joaquin Delta here. Thanks for the blog. Made it half way through the challenge, keep up the good work.
Hi Steve, Yeah, the concept of an outdoor pool is wistful thinking at best. We're lucky if we get 3 months use out of it a year, but we'll take what we can get! The San Joaquin Delta.... hmm, now I'm going to have to find out where that is!
Brenda, sounds like you've got the best of both worlds! Nice post..
Brenda what a gorgeous pool you have-none of our towns here have any indoor ones-small thinking
Hi Erika - I think we do have the best of both worlds - though I wonder if we couldn't have spent the money on something less seasonal than an outdoor pool! Oh well, enjoy it when we can...
Tim - I'm surprised to hear that, Madison and the like have real winters, too, so what to do then?!
