Warrior Dash
According to their website, Warrior Dash is a "mud-crawling, fire-leaping, extreme run from hell." And it is scheduled for Conroe, Texas on March 19 & 20, 2011. Located at the 3 Palms Extreme Sports Park, 15100 I-45 South the 3.18 mile race is sure to be a challenging adventure.
You'll run through Tornado Alley, where gale force winds will assault you. Hundreds of tires will try to slow you down in Knee High Hell. Giant straw bales in Hay Fever will have you climbing to continue the course. Rio Run makes you run down river to the Sand Trap trek through mounds of sand. A sprint up Hell's Hill will test your perseverance just in time to skid down a muddy Satan's Slope. Cargo nets greet you for the Cargo Climb and get ready for the fire-leaping of the Warrior Roast. The mud-crawling obstacle has you scrambling under barbed wire in Muddy Mayhem, just to finish up by trudging through the waist-deep water & over the logs of Deadweight Drifter.
Sounds interesting you say? Are you saying that from the comfort of your couch? Or are you made of sterner stuff? Perhaps warrior-like stuff? If you are up for the battle, the cost is $65 for Saturday, $55 for Sunday. These prices are in effect until Sunday, February 20, 2011. The cost increases to $75 for Saturday, $65 for Sunday with that deadline being Monday, March 7, 2011 at 3 PM CST. PLUS each participant will go home with a Warrior Helmet, a Warrior Dash Shirt & a Custom Warrior Dash Medal. As far as prizes go, you could win a custom engraved steel Warrior Helmet - if you are one of the Top Three Overall times for both males & females. Or you could go home with a steel Warrior Helmet trophy for the Top Three in each Division for males & females. And Crazy Costumes are encouraged - with a prize going for the best costume as decided by the audience!!
