Afternoon color on an icy Tuesday in Kentlands

We had overnight snow and a thick layer of ice on everything this morning in Kentlands. I had to skip my morning walk through the neighborhood. At this time of the year, the challenge is to capture the colors of winter.  Have your camera in hand for walks through your community to photograph those special moments. Don't miss the small things that we sometimes pass without notice.

I used my Canon PowerShot G11 camera for these photographs. The location is Kentlands in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Life is very good in Montgomery County!

Wonderful photos Roy!  I imagine we will be seeing some ice covered photos soon?  You can always shoot them out your window while you stay warm inside!

Roy, you have indeed captured "winter color".  What type of plant is that in your first photo?
