Business Plans & Goal Setting, Do they REALLY Help???? I am talking about my experience amd my answer to this is YES!!!!
Business Plans, First I need to ask Do you have one? If you do not, I would suggest that you take a class on this and do a Business Plan. I know WHY right? Well, do you want to generate more business than last year? Most People will say YES, others will say No I am fine with my business , and that is OK TOO.. I will say that either way you still need a business plan.
Business Plan will do: help you stay focused to GROW your Business or help you Save time in your business.
If you do have a business plan do you have it broken down into weekly Goals?
Weekly Goals: Tak you business plan and break it down into weekly goals, a weekly goal is more managable than looking at the whole Business Plan. Here is what I did.... I want a GCI of $800K this year, to do this I will need to generate about $27,900,000 in closed sales, then I break this down in how many closings I will need so I devide the sales amount bu my average sales (about $190K per deal) for me that is 147 sides. Now, looking at that is comes to 2 listing appointments and 4 buyer appointments per week. That also includes fall out.
Business Plans & Goal Setting The Weekly Picture is: in my example I am looking at 2 listing appointments per week (giving me 1 listing per week) , and 4 buyer appointments per week also, NOW that is a lot easier to look at and accomplish that I NEED 147 CLOSINGS THIS YEAR!!!!
Results for Business Plans & Goal Setting: We are in week 3 of January, and I have 4 listings , I am ahead fo the game by 1 Listing so far, and as far the the buyers meetings I am behind on that I have had 3 and I should have 12 already. So knowing my numbers can allow me to adjust and make plans for the FUTURE.
Now if you choose to not grwo your business then you should be looking at ways to reduce your costs and the amount of time you are working, a Business plan can help you with that. Knowing what you have done and making the plan and staying on task with your goals you will see you are saving time and money and increasing your income.
SO!!! GET THAT BUSINESS PLAN & GOAL SETTING DONE ASAP!!! Business Plans & Goal Setting, Do they REALLY Help????

Ken, I am a very big believer in planning, both business and personal. Like Zig Ziglar always says, "Failure to Plan is Planning to Fail".
