Country Club Estates is a hillside area of less than 600 homes. It is among the top three of South Lake Tahoe’s most desirable residential neighborhoods.

Set amid towering pines, Country Club estates offers some homes with expansive views, snow capped mountains and glorious western facing sunsets. And some homes have distant views of the seldom used runway of the South Lake Tahoe airfield.

Traditionally Country Club Estates has been considered an upper-mid market neighborhood. In the current real estate climate, however, a few homes can be found in this coveted neighborhood in the $300,000 range, and even rarer than that, a few choices appear in the $200,000’s as well.

At present there are two listings in Country Club Estates that are priced in this rare and attractive under $300,000 price point. There were four 2010 Country Club Estates home sold under $300,000 as well.

Mostly though prices are over $400,000, and presently half of all Country Club Estates listings are over $600,000.

The lowest sale here in the last three years was $206,000, a bank owned property sold in 2010 (1545 Tionontati St.), and the highest sale was $1,150,000 in 2008 (1890 Meadow Vale Dr.).
