What is a CIAS?

A Certified Investor Agent Specialist (CIAS) is an agent with a thorough understanding of how to find, create and close with real estate investors.  In addition, the CIAS has been trained to identify and address the needs of the Five Investor Types:  First Time, Move-Up, Portfolio, Performance, and Rehab and Resell.

Here are some little-known statistics about the real estate investment market:

  • Over the past 12 months, investment and second-home properties comprised more than $300 billion in sales.
  • This represents approximately 27 percent of all residential real estate transactions
  • 48 percent of investors made all-cash purchases
  • 43 percent of investors earned less than $75,000/year

We need a specialist who specializes in keeping track of all these designations. There are so many I don't know as anyone other than another Realtor would know what they even mean. lol

Those are some amazing facts!  Some of the others are the comparison to the stock market of 11 down years to 3 down years in housing.  The investors alone are helping stabilize the market!  Keep on buying!
