Good Communication

I was talking to a client yesterday about taking his listing.

His biggest complaint was the communication from the last agent. He commented that he thought by hiring a Re/Max agent he would have had better communication. He would say, I would call and no return phone call is what I received. He would say I wanted to know if the property is being showed and I would call but no return phone call.

I felt like every-time I was trying to defend what my actions would be. I keep telling this gentleman that the communication between us would be different. I will be calling him. I went over and over that I would call him back and the best way to get in contact with me would be via my cell phone which is what I called you on today and email.

The client lives at what I would say long distance for him to call me. So I let him know he could call and just say please call me back or email me for his concerns. Then I would get the other person would not even call me back. I keep reassuring him that I would be in contact with him. I also, let him know the advertising steps I was taking and that money was going to be out of my pocket before the sale of his property. And I assured him that he would not be charged more that what was on the listing agreement.

My client even went as far to ask what was the working with a real estate agent form and dual agency form. I really feel sorry for this gentleman on how missed informed the other agent that had his listing did their job.

There is no excuse for not going over working with a real estate agent in NC.
