Kathleen, This is really good information for anyone who is new to blogging.  I'm sure they're going to find it useful and maybe they'll start if they've been reluctant to blog before.

Levi and Carole - It was my hope that the Active Rain newbies might, with a little knowledge -  bust out a few blogs.

Kathleen, Wow, I needed this information. Lest you believe I jest; consider this. I have agreed to speak about blogging at one of the upcoming meetings for one of my networking groups. Last month when the person in charge of getting speakers mentioned that I would be speaking about blogging you should have heard the question in her voice as she said, "Yvonne Root will be speaking about . . . uh, um I guess it is called uh blogging(?) in November." I admit I am one of those who have not blogged yet, but I'm working up the courage! I'm a little weary of the secret tribal council that might throw me off the blogging island if I don't pick something interesting or informative enough to survive here! lol  but really, thank you for the  info, I promise to put it to good use soon!

Kathleen, I continue to be amazed that spell checkers Everywhere, including most blogging sites and Active Rain do NOT seem to recognize what a Blog is!  It's definitely beginning to become more widely talked about...but you're right in noting that many people still have absolutely no clue what it is. 

Thanks Kathleen....you lost me on the last one.....what are those things called 'feeds' and what do they do?  My brain is so crammed full of internet jargon, passwords, cell phone issues.....I am going numb with the amount of knowledge I do not know!!  It drives this little Gemini insane!!  : )  Regards-Kathleen

This is pretty deep stuff for a blond , but if you click on the blue word "feeds" above and then go to comprehensive list - it will tell you more that you care to know or really even need to. 

I now have an address book to list websites, user name, and Password because I am on sooooo many. 

When I turn on my light switch, the light comes on (usually) but I really don't get the entire electrical sequencing blah, blah stuff. 

Thanks Kathleen L....my brain is filled with so many other important things, these little nuances seem to constantly gather and grow in the ether out there!!!  Probably a smart idea to have an address book just for those purposes!! 

The networking-internet stuff is pretty amazing....it is far easier to simply not ask what things are and just go with the flow!!  : )  That is this gal's easy-breezy solution for now!!  Besides...don't let the golden hair fool ya!  LOL!
