Sunshine, On My Shoulder

By
Industry Observer with ARFCO Media

Over the hump it's Wednesday and a beautiful winter morning it is. The sky is blue and that floating almost mushroom like column of cloud structure rising in the background is right over downtown Seattle.

Not too many photo opportunities, I'm driving after all. I love it when there's enough clear sky to the east in the morning that sunrise peaks over the Cascades and reflects off the buildings downtown.

From my office at The Talon Group on Eastlake Ave E. Just one more look south at the morning sky and downtown Seattle.

The first song that came to mind was John Denver...

Sunshine, On My Shoulder, Makes Me Happy

If I had a day that I could give you.

I'd give you a day just like today.

If I had a song that I could sing for you.

I'd sing a song to make you feel this way.

Rene, sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy too! But... driving on the highway taking pictures makes me nervous! Those are great shots though, beautiful sky!

Andrea: Most shots I take are when I'm not moving... The first pic above I fired off several without looking. If they turn out, cool... most however do not.

William: thanks... I think that's my cameras low pixel rate! ;o) ...

Rene - beautiful photos, could be turned into postcards! I have always loved that song by John Denver .... we're not getting alot of sunshine these days in Syracuse, NY - but it's in our hearts just the same!  Feel like turning on the radio and taking pictures now :)

Stacia: Thanks... It was such a beautiful day and a very dramatic sky.

Julianne: "in our hearts"... most important place for sunshine! Thanks. The results I get with these pictures is always a surprise. I never know what I'm going to get when I pull up my Blackberry and shoot away without hardly looking (cuz I'm driving)... most pictures don't turn out, but the ones that do interest me in that I never would have staged a picture that way... fun stuff...
