Spatial Match is sooo groovy

Spatial Match example on Joe Pryor's site:

There is so much that can be done with this product. If you have a relocation client that wants to know all about the conveniences, schools, nail salons, etc. in their area, you can draw a boundary line around the home that they are interested in and choose the items to display on your map. Then you can send them the direct link. This is so easy and I'm a definite fan!

Cherie, I am really jazzed about this, and I think it takes websites to a new level. In fact, if we think of our sites not as web pages but as a portal to our communities, this is the next level of forging a relationship based on what the public wants to know and can only find with us through our portal. I know this is just the first day of having spatial match but it will only get better. Thanks for your seemless integration you did for me.

Looks like Spatial Match is a very cool tool with tons of layers of deliverables, almost like Pandora's Box.

Spatial Match is indeed very cool and I think it will only get better given time.   But, I'm finding that there are some important "prime time" features missing from this IDX product.   There is a "user behavior dashboard" -- a back end for the customer to see what visitors to the site have been doing.  But, this is in beta mode and from what I've seen of it, it has a long way to go to provide the kind of lead-generating information I'm looking for.  Also, there is no Email Alert system in place though I've been told it is coming in the next major release.   Without this feature, I think the system puts too much burden on the user to find properties when they hit the market.   This is a feature my clients and prospects have come to expect and I'm not sure I can continue to wait for it to be available from Spatial Match.

I'm not sure I'm going to keep the product at this time.   Though it really is superb in it's map features, there are other features I must have in my site's IDX solution that just aren't there yet.  And, I continue to be wary since the home page at http://www.spatialmatch.com still says the product is in "beta".  Hmmm.   I'm having a hard time continuing to pay $80/month for a product still in "beta" mode.
