New Jersey Builders Offering More Green Homes as Affordability Increases

Recently the National Assn of Home Builders (NAHB) held its Builder's Show in Orlando, and one item of positive news was that green-built homes will take an increasingly large percentage of the market in direct proportion to their price, because home buyers' prime motivation today is cost effectiveness.

Several speakers, who hosted the NAHB's Green Day, echoed the trend.  Kohler's Rob Zimmerman, said product manufacturers have been able to focus on the creation of new technology during the current building downturn "that will make green building more affordable."

The very rural location of Marvin Windows and Doors' Minnesota manufacturing facility has forced the company to be more resourceful, said Christine Marvin, the fourth generation of her family to work in the business. "Our commitment is to use our resources wisely," and that applies to its products as well."

If you want to find a builder in Mercer County NJ and our surrounding areas who is "building green" just email or call me.  I'm familiar with all the builders here in our part of central New Jersey, and can help you decide on what options best fit your finances and plans.
